When visitors leave comments on AskHealthBot.com, we collect the information provided in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. You can review Gravatar’s privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture (if linked to Gravatar) becomes publicly visible alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to AskHealthBot.com, please ensure they do not contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Other visitors may be able to download and extract location information from uploaded images.

Cookies

• If you leave a comment, you may opt to save your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience. These cookies last for one year.
• A temporary cookie will be set on the login page to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is removed when you close your browser.
• When you log in, several cookies are stored to save your login details and screen preferences. Login cookies last two days, and screen preference cookies last one year. If you choose “Remember Me”, your login remains active for two weeks. Logging out removes these cookies.

• Comments and their metadata are stored indefinitely to automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of holding them for moderation.
